Meet The Team Profile - Adam Shipley

What made you decide to become a Tutor with Valkyrie?

I have over 25 years working experience in engineering. Within those years I have had many working experiences which form my opinions today including manufacturing changing to a lean approach and the positive outcomes, differing management styles….some good some not so !,the decline and resurgence of British engineering. These experiences came with a raft of qualifications and training. Again some good some bad, the good I will come on to but it is the bad I want to focus on. Have you ever attended a course and was left under whelmed, not sure what the purpose was and thought to yourself “ I can do better than this” ? me too ! so when the opportunity to work for the Valkyrie team I jumped at the chance.

Why do you like working for Valkyrie?

I enjoy working for Valkyrie for many reasons including good clear direction, an excellent personable manager, freedom to manage my case load, personal interactions with all off the team, all in it together attitude and importantly a place where my ideas are valued. Like the “ meet the team” suggestion ;).  As we are a small close team of experts we never have major problems only opportunities. Potential meltdowns can disappear instantly within a couple of reassuring advice given phone calls.

What key advice would you give to someone thinking about training with Valkyrie?
